Students who have chosen education in the field of literature will constantly interact with a wide range of texts and works throughout the training in order to develop reading skills and text analysis. They will also develop an understanding of literary history, genres and contemporary trends in literature theory and research. This program is accredited only in the American education system, so the information about the completion of this program will not be reflected in the diploma of the European standard. The training program includes 8 mandatory disciplines and 6 disciplines to choose from. Mandatory disciplines: — Introduction to Literature — World Literature: Reference Texts — World Literature: Literature in Translation — Shakespeare — American Literature before 1865 — American Literature literature from 1865 to present — British literature to 1785 — British literature from 1785 to present Disciplines to choose from: — Themes of American literature — Themes in British literature Literary Theory and Criticism Also, you can choose several of the following disciplines: scripting, public speaking, world literature, film criticism and much more. The program aims to ensure that graduates have the following skills and abilities: - to have an understanding of the major literary figures of the UK, the USA and the world; - understand the algorithm of creation of literary works; — to develop reading skills; — to demonstrate literary knowledge, both theoretical and practical, which are necessary for development in academic and professional fields.$ Graduates of the program are well prepared for career in such areas as writing, publishing, social relations.

TOEFL PBT 550,ETS (Educational Testing Service) lhave to send test results to university. Certificates and copies of certificates are accepted only from ETS / Certificates sent by applicants personally will not be considered.

Essay,The essay should be written in English on one of the following topics: “Every person has his own creative side, which can be expressed in different ways. For example, mathematical abilities, innovative thinking, artistic talents, etc. Tell us what your creative side is expressed? — Describe the most difficult situation in your life that you have faced. What have you done to overcome this situation? How did this affect your learning success? Your essay shouldn't be longer than 650 words. It will be evaluated on the basis of clarity of writing, creativity, structure, style, grammar, punctuation and spelling.
If you are enrolled during your last year of high school, you must provide an official school statement of grades for the last 3 completed years of study, which includes a list of items, interim (quarter) and final annual estimates. $ All extracts must include the name of the applicant, the contact information of the school, the name, signature and seal of the authorized person. Extracts can be provided in English, Bulgarian or Russian. If you have already completed high school, please provide a copy of your secondary school certificate with the application.
