The programme focuses on critical thinking, research, written and oral communication skills within an ethical framework in all media and professional disciplines. The media around the world are subject to constant change. New information technologies, the media and the economy are in constant motion. At the same time, the principles of journalism and mass communication remain extremely important for a democratic society. Accuracy and balance in the transmission of information, supported by high ethical standards and commitment to serving the interests of society, are central to achieving the goals. The program includes theoretical and practical training. Internships during training, participation in various clubs and events of the university (magazine, internet portal, newspaper news, radio, etc.) further strengthen the acquired knowledge and skills. Upon completion of the course, students can start their career path in various fields, ranging from media organization, advertising and PR agencies, manufacturing institutions or continue their postgraduate studies at leading universities around the world. The training program consists of 5 compulsory disciplines, 6-7 disciplines to choose from and internships. Mandatory disciplines: — Communication and media in society — Writing texts for media — Visual communications: theory and practice — Journalism — Ethics and legislation in the field of media passing the program, the student learns: — to understand the history, function and development of journalism and media in society; — to analyze global problems of journalism and media; — to use competently in their work visual communication; — integrate humanitarian knowledge into research, training and work; — understand the role of advertising in public relations; — apply the principles of media legislation, norms and ethics.$

Essay,The essay should be written in English on one of the following topics: “Every person has his own creative side, which can be expressed in different ways. For example, mathematical abilities, innovative thinking, artistic talents, etc. Tell us what your creative side is expressed? — Describe the most difficult situation in your life that you have faced. What have you done to overcome this situation? How did this affect your learning success? Your essay shouldn't be longer than 650 words. It will be evaluated on the basis of clarity of writing, creativity, structure, style, grammar, punctuation and spelling.
If you are enrolled during your last year of high school, you must provide an official school statement of grades for the last 3 completed years of study, which includes a list of items, interim (quarter) and final annual estimates. $ All extracts must include the name of the applicant, the contact information of the school, the name, signature and seal of the authorized person. Extracts can be provided in English, Bulgarian or Russian. If you have already completed high school, please provide a copy of your secondary school certificate with the application.
