Humboldt Institute was founded in 1977 by Norbert Guetling, who is still the director of the Institute. Humboldt Institute offers the best German courses and guarantees fast and efficient training for all participants of the course. The school has been following this approach for more than 40 years and has been hosting more than 60,000 students from more than 160 countries in their schools. Humboldt Institute is named after Wilhelm von Humboldt, Prussian educational reformer, linguist and naturalist brother Alexander von Humboldt. Like Humboldt, the school follows a holistic concept: course participants learn German, use the language daily in their communication with each other and fully immerse themselves in the life and culture of Germany. Humboldt Institute offers German courses almost always in the form of packages that include everything: hostel accommodation, full board and leisure program.
