The friendly city of Letherhead is home to St. John's School, a beautiful and traditional British boarding school home to Thames Valley Summer Schools. Every year, foreign students between the ages of 8 and 17 come here for summer English courses. The town of Letherhead is surrounded by beautiful English countryside, as it is located in the heart of the Thames Valley. The school itself is within walking distance of the city centre and 30 km from central London. Frequent trains to the capital (Victoria and Waterloo stations) with a journey time of 45 minutes. Heathrow and Gatwick airports are less than 35 km from the school. It takes less than an hour to get to Brighton and the south coast. Thames Valley Summer Schools offers outdoor playgrounds, a 25-metre indoor pool and a sports hall for basketball, volleyball and football. On the territory of the school there is a residence with single, double rooms.
