About university

The Free University of Bozen-Bolzano was founded in 1997. The university has a strong outlook, as evidenced by its multilingual courses (German, Italian, English and Ladin) and a large number of students and teachers from abroad. The University has five faculties and a high percentage of teachers (35 per cent) and students (17 per cent) come from abroad, study, teach and conduct research in the fields of economics, science, $ engineering, social sciences, education and design.$ There are 4,100 students who have registered more than 30 courses for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The proposed modules and research projects are linked to international and interregional networks. For example, within the Euregio project, the University cooperates with the universities of Innsbruck and Trento, and aims to achieve the best quality standards.
