Psychology is an important science in terms of influence on educational policy and practice. The relationship between psychology and education is an exciting and advanced area of study with different theoretical and methodological approaches. The Bachelor Program offers you the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to understand how psychology approaches influence learning and development. The training will provide you with a solid foundation for a wide range of future careers, including teaching, youth work, educational or clinical psychology, counseling and social work. You will be taught by experts in education and psychology who will use their research to inform their learning, and you will have the opportunity to conduct your own research, exploring the relationship between the two disciplines. The course has both theoretical and practical components - you will get the opportunity to gain practical experience in the educational context to apply your theoretical knowledge. In each year of training you will take a series of basic modules that will create your knowledge base, complemented by additional modules from psychology and education that will allow you to explore related topics that fit your interests and career plans. From the beginning of the training, you will learn key theories, values and concepts related to psychology and education, and learn what psychology can provide a common understanding of learning and development. For example, you will consider how together both disciplines can be applied to real-life scenarios to inform decisions. In the last year, you will take a place in a school or service related to education that will allow you to understand the relationship between theory and practice and use the ideas of psychology in the educational environment. You will also take a self-study that will allow you to apply theories that you have studied in practice to select the area of interest you and gain experience in implementing the real research project. $ Bachelor's degree in psychology and education provides knowledge and skills that are needed in many career areas, such as teaching, youth, educational or clinical psychology, social work. Many students decide to continue their studies in master's and postgraduate studies.
