Training is aimed at a deeper understanding of humanity by studying its past. The program is aimed at studying and analyzing the trends, institutions and causes that shape our world. Students learn to think critically, express their own judgments clearly and clearly, organize and evaluate actual data, give their own assessment and interpretation of historical problems. The program provides AUBG students with analytical tools that can be practically applied in all aspects of decision-making and research in academic, state, legislative , journalistic and economic spheres. The direction provides a general curriculum focusing on the history of central and south-eastern Europe. Upon completion of the program, students demonstrate the following skills and knowledge: — deep knowledge of history, supported by various knowledge from related disciplines; — application of modern theories and methods in the field of history - ability to think critically and analyze materials - development of oral communication skills through seminars and oral presentations - ability to plan and $ preparation of its own historical research project. Graduates of the program work in regional business enterprises. Most of them continue their education up to doctoral degrees in universities in Europe and the United States. For example, Central European University, Columbia University, University of Illinois, University of Maryland, University of Michigan and University of Pittsburgh.

Essay,The essay should be written in English on one of the following topics: “Every person has his own creative side, which can be expressed in different ways. For example, mathematical abilities, innovative thinking, artistic talents, etc. Tell us what your creative side is expressed? — Describe the most difficult situation in your life that you have faced. What have you done to overcome this situation? How did this affect your learning success? Your essay shouldn't be longer than 650 words. It will be evaluated on the basis of clarity of writing, creativity, structure, style, grammar, punctuation and spelling.
If you are enrolled during your last year of high school, you must provide an official school statement of grades for the last 3 completed years of study, which includes a list of items, interim (quarter) and final annual estimates. $ All extracts must include the name of the applicant, the contact information of the school, the name, signature and seal of the authorized person. Extracts can be provided in English, Bulgarian or Russian. If you have already completed high school, please provide a copy of your secondary school certificate with the application.
