The three-year Bachelor's program in English is aimed at providing students with a thorough knowledge of both theoretical and applied economics and finance. This program focuses on the development of abstract analytical reasoning that allows our graduates to solve complex economic and financial problems under different conditions. Students should have knowledge in mathematical sciences and speak English at a sufficiently high level. The courses are taught by members of the Institute for Economic Research (IES), as well as by specialists from the central bank, commercial banks and business analysts. Our graduates usually hold senior positions in banking, consulting, investment funds and public administration. At the end of the training, students must obtain 180 ECTS credits and defend their bachelor's thesis. The courses offered consist of compulsory courses, optional courses and optional courses. Mandatory and optional courses are taught at the Institute of Economic Studies (IES), courses of choice can be taught at any faculty of Charles University (including Czech language courses).
